Kindergarten is a crucial step in the journey of our children. There, self-confidence and the acquisition of the feeling of self-efficacy are at play. The School of All attaches great importance to what constitutes one of the first places of socialization in our lives.
The educational team of the Kindergarten school focuses its action on the following points:
The Kindergarten school, and particularly the reception class and the 1st Kindergarten school, is the place where children and parents will experience a fundamental change in their relationships. It is the responsibility of the Kindergarten school to support this change. The child moves from the family unit or the Kindergarten to a much larger socialization unit. The cultural “gap” to be crossed is very large for some parents. Others, who have not lived the crèche experience with their child, are living a new experience which requires support. To succeed, the School of All sets up:
- A toolbox and a place of reflection for the members of the team in order to better manage this progressive parent-child detachment;
- A place for dialogue and reflection with parents on how to manage this sharing of educational responsibility between parents and the school.
The Kindergarten school is, together with the Kindergarten, the first place of extended socialization of children. It plays a fundamental role in the social development of the child: will he, through his combined capacities of autonomy and socialization, be and feel integrated in a community or remain on the margins of it? The Kindergarten school’s educational team pays close attention to the capacity for integrationchildren within their group and the development of a feeling of self-efficacy in each child (avoiding “learned resignation”, constantly promoting dialogue, supporting the development of language skills, etc.). The School for All will also ensure that, in common activities, processes of rejection or denigration of certain children do not develop (learn to respect others in their differences, strengths and weaknesses).
Learning to live together on the basis of common rules)
Kindergarten is the place par excellence where the child receives countless stimuli of awareness, learning, socialization. Thanks to them, he develops a first range of behavioral, cognitive, artistic, and physical and socialization skills. The activities offered by the School of All lead to the multiplication and diversification of these stimuli.
Kindergarten is a crucial place for children’s maturation. It is the place par excellence where the child gradually integrates autonomy in responding to his physical needs and in a specific environment. To ensure a harmonious progression of the maturation of the child, great continuity and consistency in the educational reception of the child is ensured. A report accompanies each child during his life in Kindergarten school, including:
- The passage of these stages of maturation.
- The way in which he responds to the stimuli described above and the range of skills he develops.
