2020 itself has become something of what you might expect to see in the movies what with this virus outbreak, yet ironically, many of you will be relying on movies as one form of entertainment to get you through it all. Netflix is the main go-to for movies and TV series but their Amerikansk Netflix catalogue is vast so it can be difficult to find something that you might like..
For that reason, you might appreciate us recommending some of the better horror movies that you can currently see via their streaming service. Here are four of what we think is well worth a watch.
Killer Klowns From Outer Space
This is a leftfield choice purely for a few giggles. This was released in 1988 and showcases the kind of B-movies that were around at the time. While this one may be low budget, the special effects are not quite as bad as you might think and while a horror, this has plenty of comedy thrown in as well.
In the Tall Grass
Netflix has created many good horror movies themselves over the years and In the Tall Grass is one of their latest. Released in 2019, this is a story based on a novel by the infamous horror-writer Stephen King. This movie offers up tons of twists and you find yourself wondering whether the whole movie is some kind of dream by the main character. We don’t want to go into much detail or it will spoil it but this movie is certainly worth a watch.
Candyman
You might have heard that there is a new horror movie coming out called Candyman, well it is a remake as this is the original from back in 1992. Back then it was up against some heavyweights such as Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and Friday the 13th. It probably didn’t get the recognition it deserved from horror fans though since it has become something of a cult classic.
Train to Busan
You do not always have to rely on Hollywood for the best horror movies as there plenty of great ones made all over the world. Train to Busan is arguably one of the best zombie movies of all time. This Korean movie depicts a zombie outbreak on a train – exactly, not many places that you can run. These are not your traditional slow-moving zombies either, they can move and move quickly.
Conclusion
With honourable mentions to movies such as The Ritual, Pan’s Labyrinth and Apostle, the four movies above are what we believe to be the best horror movies on Netflix in 2020. Whether you are watching from America or using a VPN to Netflix USA I Danmark, we are sure that you will have a good/terrifying time watching them.
With any luck, once you have worked your way through these and some other Netflix horror movies, we might start to see the end of our very own horror movie.
